Boko Haram: Amosun Commends Armed Forces
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has once again commended the Nigerian Armed Forces for their efforts in securing lives and properties of Nigerians, especially in the Northeast.
The governor gave the commendation while playing host to the General Officer Commanding 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Ebenezer Babatunde Oyefolu in his Oke-Mosan office.
Governor Amosun noted that the Nigerian Army in collaboration with the support of other security operatives did well in stemming the tide of the Boko Haram terrorists.
The governor also expressed satisfaction with the way the armed forces swiftly sent criminals masquerading as Niger Delta militants packing from the riverine communities bordering Ogun and Lagos.

He however sounded a note of warning that the criminal elements may regroup in other parts of the state and therefore called on security agencies to forestall such moves.
Governor Amosun also implored the Nigerian Army to support the Navy towards securing Tongeji Island against external aggression while he promised continuous support for the military formations in Ogun State.
Speaking earlier, Major General Oyefolu who was accompanied on the visit by other senior officers in the 81 Division including the Commander 35 Brigade, Brigadier General Basil Adonkie, noted that the Division under his Command is not leaving any stones unturned to ensure peace and security in Ogun and Lagos states.
