Tunisian man who aided Berlin attacker detained
Authorities in Germany have detained a Tunisian
man who allegedly helped Anis Amri, who was gunned down by Italian
police in Milan for his role in the Berlin Christmas truck attack.The 40-year-old suspect according to Germany’s federal prosecutor in a statement was detained and “could have been involved in the attack” on a Christmas market in Berlin.
Investigators are working to determine what role, if any, the unnamed Tunisian man played in the Dec. 19 attack on the Christmas market at Breitscheidplatz, a public square in the heart of Germany’s capital.
Authorities searched the man’s offices today, according to the prosecutor’s statement.
