Buhari Releases N72bn for Construction of Lagos-Ibadan Rail Line
The federal government has released N72bn, its counterpart fund for the building of the Lagos-Ibadan modernisation railway project, Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi on Monday announced.
"I think in the history of Nigeria this is the first time that we are releasing counterpart funds in full so that there will be no delay since the Chinese loan appears to have been approved," he added.
Construction work is expected to begin next month and the project is expected to be completed 18 months later.
