Status updates with coloured backgrounds is the new frenzy going-on on Facebook mobile app right now. A couple of days ago Facebook owner, Mark Zuckerberg built his own AI, Jarvis, which had the speech of Hollywood actor, Morgan Freeman, this was much talked about in the tech space all around the world. In an effort to make the Facebook community more interactive, status updates can now appear on striking coloured background, replacing the normal black text on white backgrounds which we’ve all become accustomed to.

How Do I Know Facebook Status Updates With Coloured Backgrounds Is Available On My Mobile Phone?

In an official statement by Facebook which reads:

“We’re rolling out a change to help people make their text posts more visual. Starting today, people can update the background color of their text-only posts on Android.”

Colored status backgrounds are rolling out globally over the next few days. Only Android users will be able to create them, but everyone on iOS, Android, and web will be able to see them in the News Feed.”

For now, only Android users are able to post status updates with coloured backgrounds as updates are still being rolled out globally. However, iOS and web users will be able to see this in News Feeds but we do not know when it will get to them.
